UX & UI

Portfolio

This page is dedicated to projects I have completed whilst working in the industry, or in my free time as practice, that required me to work as a UX or UI Designer.

Amblios Club

In November 2023, Amblios Club underwent a major rebrand in order to re-structure the app to move away from a suit of games, and instead include parental features, activities and informative information. As the main designer in the team, I led the production of the first ever Digital Guidelines for Nucleolus: a document that provides detailed guidance on the application of the new brand of digital assets. This project was developed during my role as a Designer and Artist at Nucleolus.

The purpose of the Digital Guidelines is to enhance the Brand Guidelines, by considering elements in a digital context (e.g., user experiences; accessibility). Initially this work began as a Google Slide, outlining brand guidelines including typeface, colour scheme, elements (e.g., buttons; forms), however, as further hours were put into this task, a Figma file was created in order to express the desired re-brand of the app to programmers who were implementing these changes. Both the document and the Figma file aim to promote consistent and high-quality user experiences oas they use the application.

Below are a few of the slides I created for the Brand Style Guidelines.

Figma Prototype:

Below is screenshot of the Figma file that I made when outlining how the app would be traversed. Once this was completed I worked closely with programmers to ensure the design of the app was implemented as close to this file as possible.

Mayor Mayhem

Mayor Mayhem is a gamified web-based simulation tool which aims to intrigue children and teens with the prospect of democratic participation. Work began on this project in May 2021. Initially I worked as a Game Artist, leading the art direction through the creation of design documents and art bibles. As a Game Artist I produced 3D models, 2D textures and animations all of which were used as the backdrop of this game; overtime this background evolved and changed as a way of visually showing the characters progress. However, I didn’t just work as a Game Artist, I also worked on the UI used in Game and in marketing material. Using visual style guidelines the team created, I produced UI elements including: prompts and character icons, both used in the games HUD, as well as a menu to navigate. Below you will find screenshots of these elements in use:
